Scheduled Retreat Information

Arrival-Departure – We ask our guests to check in between 2:00 and 4:00 PM on the first day of retreat and to check out between 9:00 and noon on the day of departure unless otherwise arranged.

Transportation – If traveling by car, follow U.S. 19 into Maggie Valley. We are located next to Ghost Town (across from the Shell Station). If you are flying use the Asheville, NC Airport. Transportation to and from the airport can be arranged with our volunteers at reasonable hours. We ask you to give them $25 each way for the 45-mile trip to the Asheville Airport.

Smoking – Living Waters is smoke free.

Alcoholic Beverages are discouraged.

Pets – For the health and comfort of our guests, pets are not permitted.

Art Studio – Is available for anyone who wishes to include creative experiences with retreat or sabbatical time at Living Waters.

Wireless internet service is available on a limited basis in most areas surrounding the Main Office and Tiffin Room.

The Dining Room is open for meals when larger groups are present. The Hospitality Room (Room#1 in the Main Building) is available for private or directed retreatants who wish to prepare their own meals.

Private Retreats/Groups

Francis Hall

                                    $100.00 night/per person with meals (6 meals are inclusive of groups more than 10 or when other arrangements are secured. (Private – 2 night/3 day Retreat $200.00. Group $190.00 ten or more)

                                    $80.00 night/per person without meals  

Regular Room (in main building)

                                    $85.00 night/per person with 6 meals. (Private – 2 night/ 3 day Retreat $190.00 Group Rate $190.00 ten or more.

                                    $70.00 night/per person without meals.

Sabbaticals

                   $2100.00 per month (This does include weekly private kitchen restocking when Main Kitchen is not being operated.

 Commuter – w/Meals

 $50.00 per day (includes the cost of the retreat)

A $25 deposit for ALL retreat reservations is requested and non-refundable.  Payment to be made on the date of arrival by cash or check for the balance of the cost.

Our Lady of Lourdes Small Group / Family Retreat Cottage. 

Do you have a small group or possibly family members that wish to get away for a weekend to deepen your relationships, spirituality and prayer life? Living Waters has a retreat cottage available for private or small group retreats up to four (4) retreatants. There is a fully equipped kitchen for meal preparation. Meals are not included.  This quaint cottage comes equipped with 2 1/2 baths, 4 separate bedrooms with full size beds. (St Margaret of Scotland R.C. Church is less than 1/4 mile walk away down the hill.)

Private Spiritual Direction:

  $25.00 per session – meeting with Sr. Fran Grady, SCL  – Special arrangements with Sister by contacting her at fmgrady@dnet.net

Sabbatical Renewal

$2100/month

(Call to check on the availability of the small fully equipped kitchen apartment)

 Treat yourself to a spiritual renewal in the Smoky Mountains. Create your own custom-made extended sabbatical time. Choose such possibilities as solitude, prayer, outings in the mountains, arts and crafts experiences, holistic, and cultural events.  An art space is available for creative experiences.

When?  At your convenience!  How long?  One month to a year.  Persons on sabbatical are invited to make any of the scheduled retreats during their stay. It is recommended that persons on sabbatical bring a car for transportation. You will reside in a single-bedroom apartment with fully equipped kitchen, laundry, full bath and sitting room. (WiFi is available as well as T.V.)
