       General Information

In addition to our scheduled retreats, Living Waters Reflection Center offers private and directed retreats year-round. Simply call us (828-926-3833) and make your request or email us at Meals are provided for groups of 14 or more.

Scheduled Retreat Information

        Arrival-Departure -- We ask our guests to check in between 2:00         and 4:00 PM on the first day of retreat and to check out between         9:00 and noon on the day of departure unless otherwise arranged.

        Transportation -- If traveling by car, follow U.S. 19 into         Maggie Valley.  We are located next to Ghost Town (across from         the  Shell  Station). If you are flying use the Asheville, NC         Airport.  Transportation  to and from the airport can be arranged         with our volunteers at reasonable hours. We ask you to give them         $25 each way for the  45-mile  trip to  the  Asheville Airport.

        Smoking – Living Waters is smoke free.

        Alcoholic Beverages are discouraged

        Pets -- For the health and comfort of our guests, pets are not             permitted.

        Art Studio – Is available for anyone who wishes to include             creative experiences with retreat or sabbatical time at Living

        Wireless internet service is available in most areas


       The Dining Room is open for meals when larger groups are present. The Hospitality Room is   available for private or directed retreatants who wish to prepare their own meals.

Our Lady of Lourdes Retreat 

  • Living Waters has a retreat house available for private or small group retreats up to four (4) retreatants. Meals are not included.

Sabbatical Renewal 


(Call to check on the availability of the small full kitchen apartment)

 Treat yourself to a spiritual renewal in the Smoky Mountains. Create your custom-made extended sabbatical time. Choose such possibilities as solitude, prayer, outings in the mountains, arts and crafts experiences, holistic, and cultural events.  An art space is available for creative experiences.


When?  At your convenience!  How long?  One month to a year.  Persons on sabbatical are invited to make any of the scheduled retreats during their stay. It is recommended that persons on sabbatical bring a car for transportation
